The bredent group is expanding its proven brePRINT product line with a new 3D printing material for dental applications. The brePRINT 04 custom tray provides dentists and dental laboratories with a specially developed medical device by bredent for manufacturing individual functional and impression trays.

The material is suitable for a wide range of applications, including those involving partially or fully edentious patients. It is also suitable for patients with implants or other complex restorations. The brePRINT 04 custom tray supports a precise implementation of the planned impression and enables the production of stable, mechanically resilient trays while ensuring an efficient workflow.

A special advantage lies in its TPO-free formula based on an alternative polymeric photoinitiator. This reduces the burden on the laboratory work environment and promotes improved material compatibility.

The blue colour provides a clear visual distinction from impression materials and enables reliable visual inspection both while the impression is being taken and during the manufacturing and finishing process. In addition, the material is distinguished by its short printing time and high flexural strength.

The digital production of custom impression trays allows processes to be standardised and made reproducible – a major factor in boosting efficiency in day-to-day laboratory work. With ZX Unity, the bredent group is launching a new, high-performance zirconia blank onto the market, designed specifically with the needs of modern dental laboratories in mind. The product launch expands the zirconia portfolio to include a cost-effective all-in-one solution covering a wide range of indications, from single-tooth to implant-supported full-arch restorations.

ZX Unity is formulated with an ultra-fine, high-performance 4Y zirconia powder. This means the material combines an end-to-end flexural strength of at least 1,100 Mpa throughout the entire blank height without any loss of translucency. This ensures exceptional reliability, even for challenging restorations.

A key feature of the new zirconia blank is its integrated multi-gradient technology. It delivers seamless colour gradients and a natural light effect, lending an impressive aesthetic appearance to both anterior and posterior regions. With a translucency of up to 48% ZX Unity is suitable for highly aesthetic, fully anatomical and partially concealed restorations.

In addition to its aesthetic properties, ZX Unity also offers decisive advantages for laboratory workflows. The blank has been isostatically compacted and impresses with excellent edge stability. Its high dimensional accuracy and process reliability ensure precise, reliable, reproducible machining in a CAD CAM process. High-quality restorations can be completed comfortably within a single day when combined with speed sintering times.

ZX Unity was developed in close cooperation with national and international experts. The aim was to create a zirconia material of material class 4Y-TZP in line with DIN EN ISO 6872 Class 5, uniting stability, aesthetics and process reliability in a single blank while making everyday laboratory work easier for the long term.

Thanks to the wide coverage of indications, ZX Unity allows dental laboratories to slim down their material inventory, minimise storage costs and streamline work processes. The zirconia blank is suitable for veneers, inlays and onlays, fully anatomical crowns and bridges, cutbacks, occlusally screwed full contour restoration (all-on-X), hybrid abutments and veneer bridges and crowns, among other items.

Consisting of digital.connect and digital.bond, this two-component fixation system enables a permanent, secure bond between CAD/CAM-milled bases and both prefabricated and CAD/CAM-manufactured prosthetic teeth. The system has been specifically developed for dental laboratories that have adopted digital full prosthesis production as their manufacturing approach for the future. The bredent group is expanding its brePRINT product line for dental 3D printing with a new colour variant. In addition to the existing ‘smokey white’ version, the new ‘brePRINT 01 Basic Model creamy beige’ joins the tried-and-tested Basic Model Resin range. This will offer dental laboratories another solution for precise, fracture-resistant and economical dental models from 3D printing.

The Basic Model Resin has been specially developed to meet the requirements of modern digital dental laboratories. It enables the production of precise dental models with a smooth surface and low shrinkage. At the same time, its fracture resistance ensures that the printed models remain stable even in day-to-day laboratory use. This provides a crucial advantage for diagnostics, planning, and the production of work-relevant models.

An important technical factor for its efficient processing is the material’s low viscosity of 0.67 Pas. This characteristic helps ensure the fastest possible 3D printing processes and to increase efficiency in the laboratory. At the same time, its low viscosity allows it to be used on a wide range of 3D printers, even on less expensive systems, allowing dental laboratories to work cost-effectively.

With a density of 1.04 g/cm³, the material provides a stable base for precise dental models. The printed models stand out thanks to their detailed and smooth surface. Their heat resistance makes the models particularly well suited for applications such as thermoforming, where dimensionally stable and temperature-resistant models are required.

The new ‘creamy beige’ colour variant also expands the aesthetic possibilities in day-to-day laboratory use. The bright and pleasant colour of the material simplifies visual inspection and makes the models more convenient to process in the laboratory.

The material is designed for a wavelength range of 385 nm to 405 nm and can therefore be used with numerous modern 3D dental printing systems. brePRINT materials are validated for systems including ASIGA printing systems, enabling easy plug-and-play use. The necessary print parameters can be found on the ASIGA website and bredent homepage and facilitate simple and secure integration into existing digital workflows in the dental laboratory.

A strong signal for quality and safety

June 2025 – bredent medical stands for purity, the highest product quality and consistent scientific validation. The award of the CleanImplant seal for the whiteSKY and copaSKY implant systems as well as HELBO photodynamic therapy confirms these high production standards and the reliable purity of bredent implants.

The independent CleanImplant Foundation uses high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and extensive elemental analysis to test dental implants and related systems and is internationally recognised as the benchmark for the purity and quality of implantable systems. As a result, the requirements of the “Trusted Quality” seal go far beyond regulatory standards. The fact that all three bredent medical systems meet these requirements underlines the high security and quality of the company’s portfolio.

whiteSKY: proven biocompatibility

After 2022, the whiteSKY metal-free zirconium oxide implant was once again awarded the CleanImplant seal for the period 2025-2027. This re-certification demonstrates the consistently high quality of the system, which has been proven since 2006. whiteSKY combines high stability due to its one-piece design with the excellent biocompatibility of zirconium oxide – ensuring rapid osseointegration and long-term stable results. In particular, the Alveo and Tissue Line variants have been developed to meet both aesthetic and functional requirements in immediate and late care.

copaSKY: Bone Growth Concept for optimal osseointegration

The copaSKY implant system, on the other hand, was awarded the CleanImplant quality seal for the first time and thus meets all requirements for clinical cleanliness and outstanding material purity. The combination of microstructured backtaper, subcrestal positioning of the implants and narrow, tailored abutments as a further development of the platform switch – combined as the Bone Growth Concept – forms the basis of the system. This concept creates optimal conditions for bone adhesion and peri-implant mucosal sealing.

HELBO: Gentle therapy based on science

After reviewing extensive clinical data, HELBO photodynamic therapy (aPDT) was awarded the “Approved by CleanImplant” label for the first time – as the first non-implantological system from bredent medical. The award recognises the antimicrobial effect, biological compatibility and the consistent scientific validation of the HELBO method. aPDT targets pathogenic germs and supports the treatment of periodontitis and periimplantitis – as a gentle and substance-saving addition to conventional procedures. As part of implant treatment, it helps to create optimal conditions for immediate implantation or augmentation by disinfecting the extraction alveoli. It can also be used effectively for mucositis and thus helps to protect implants from periimplantitis in the long term.

With the CleanImplant awards, bredent medical is once again positioning itself as a technology-driven quality leader in the implantological field.
